What the Processor U300E is

The Processor U300E is the embedded version of the 5-core Raptor Lake-U entry for industrial BGA 1744 boards from the first quarter of 2023. One Raptor Cove Performance-core with hyperthreading plus 4 Gracemont Efficient-cores give 5 cores and 6 threads, with the P-core at 1.1 GHz base and up to 4.3 GHz turbo. The package carries 8 MB of Smart Cache. Base power is 15 W for fanless enclosures with embedded lifecycle.

UHD Graphics from shared memory cover industrial displays and signage without a discrete card. Broad memory support from DDR4-3200 to LPDDR5x-5200 lets board makers tune price against bandwidth. The single P-core burst covers interactive threads while E-cores handle background services.

Industrial buyers pick the E suffix for embedded supply rather than for higher clocks. Five cores suit gateways and HMIs at 15 W, while i3 UE parts add a second P-core for heavier multitasking. Boards that support Raptor Lake-U cover embedded SKUs with industrial firmware. The How to find your CPU socket type guide helps confirm BGA 1744 fit.

Socket and motherboard compatibility

The U300E solders to BGA 1744 on industrial boards with no socketed path. Board makers set memory type and temperature qualification. BGA 1744 does not cross to LGA 1700 desktop boards. The ARK codename page lists the U300E in the Raptor Lake family for the first quarter of 2023.

Platform IO comes from the SoC plus board wiring, with NVMe, wireless and display outputs from the design. Factory firmware carries Raptor Lake-U embedded support.

Memory, PCIe and cooling

DDR4-3200 through LPDDR5x-5200 options in two channels feed CPU and graphics together. Soldered LPDDR5 suits sealed boxes, while SODIMM suits serviceable gateways. Dual channel doubles graphics bandwidth.

PCIe Gen4 lanes wire NVMe plus wireless controllers. Cooling is a spreader to the chassis for 15 W with short turbo peaks.

Upgrade paths

No CPU change is possible on soldered BGA 1744. Storage and radio modules move where slots exist. Display cabling adds more value than internal swaps for fixed images.

Within Raptor Lake-U embedded on BGA 1744 the step up is the 1315UE with an extra P-core. Outside embedded, consumer U300 on BGA 1744 matches layout without ECC lifecycle.
