What the E1-6010 is

The E1-6010 opens Beema entry notebooks on Socket FT3 with lower power than Kabini. It runs 2 Puma cores and 2 threads at a fixed 1.35 GHz with 1 MB of L2 cache. Power is 10 W on 28 nm from April 2014. Puma lifts per clock speed over Jaguar at similar watts.

Two cores cover browsing with a document open. Fixed clocks keep behavior steady in shared machines. The 10 W envelope suits fanless leaning thin bodies. The soldered package means the notebook brand decides screen and battery around the chip.

Radeon R2 with 128 shaders from 260 MHz to 350 MHz drives notebook panels for video. DDR3L-1333 over one channel feeds cores and graphics. Buyers pick the E1-6010 where Beema efficiency must cost the least.

Socket and motherboard compatibility

The E1-6010 solders to the board on Socket FT3 and cannot be replaced. Memory size locks at purchase on most bodies. Boards wire SODIMM DDR3L with eDP panels.

FT3 notebooks use SoC PCIe, SATA and USB. AM1 desktops cannot take this BGA chip. The LGA, PGA and BGA: CPU package types explained guide explains soldered limits.

Memory, PCIe and cooling

DDR3L-1333 over a single channel suits 10 W notebooks. One SODIMM covers classroom browsing. Single channel is fixed by the SoC.

PCIe 2.0 with up to 8 lanes from the SoC serves storage and radios. eMMC or small SSDs match the class. Most builds stay on R2 graphics.

Cooling follows the thin notebook design for 10 W. Quiet libraries suit the fixed clock. Keep vents clear in carts.

Upgrade paths

On the same socket, the AMD E2-6110 at 1.5 GHz with four cores above doubles threads, while Kabini E1 parts cover older bodies. All share FT3 boards.

Newer entry portables moved to Stoney Ridge. The E1-6010 holds Beema dual core duty at 10 W.
